I Wonder Why Mum is so Thoroughly Glum

I wonder why Mum is so thoroughly glum,

I can't understand it at all,

unless it's the male that did not bring the mail,

or her favourite blouse,pinned to the wall,

Perhaps,it's the stain on her favourite sofa,

or the cheese melted in her purse,

or the handful of gum she found with her hand,

or the bedroom door sealed tightly with cement,

It can't be the toilet full of water like a fountain,

or the living room TV broke by a mailbox,

I wonder why Mum is thoroughly glum,

I can't understand it at all.
